For businesses, the Social Media space can be a hard one to navigate with the constant updates, changes and new features. At Outsource to Us we’re always looking to stay on top of Social Media Trends so we’ve put together a list of the top recent updates and trends for the various platforms so that you can stay ahead of the game.
Video content is now prioritised by Facebook, and with the incorporation of Facebook Live the ability to get in front of your audience in an organic ‘one on one’ feeling setting has never been easier. But the key with using Facebook Live is to show genuine live content, pre-recorded material won’t cut it in this space. With your live feed make sure you involve your followers. Getting the audience involved creates an organic experience for those involved. Have a plan of where you want your video to go but also allow your audience in on the journey, this will ensure authenticity and keep your audience engaged.
Facebook Call to Actions:
Facebook has taken its advertising Call to Actions to the next level incorporating third party platforms to make it easier for customers to interact with you and your brand. For events, you can now book tickets through Eventbrite, facilitated by your Facebook ad. This will transform the way Facebook Ads are integrated into your social campaigns. An ad will be an opportunity to completely capture your customer, rather than the traditional two-step process we have known.
The days of simply adding a selfie filter to your SnapChat are so last month. From now on you can filter the world through your lens. Whether you want to turn a flashlight onto someone sitting across from you, or throw love hearts around the room you can now change how people see your environment. The world now has a different perspective; your snaps will never be the same again.
Recently the platform added a stories section to the list of features within the platform and now this feature has been further improved. You are now able to add username mentions by an @ tag, upload boomerang videos and the platform is in a testing phase for adding links to stories.
