Dancing CEOs is an annual gala event that supports Women’s Legal Service. Each year Brisbane’s leading CEOs swap the boardroom for the City Hall dance floor to raise funds for the prevention of domestic violence.
Women’s Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ) approached Outsource to Us to manage the social media campaign and PR activities for the 2016 Dancing CEOs event. An informal briefing meeting was first conducted with the CEOs to teach them about social media activities and how to push the event, as well as their involvement, out into the community to raise funds and sell tickets to the event. Outsource to Us then wrote all posts across social media and managed the accounts for the eight months leading up to the event. PR activities were all employed and coverage achieved.
Full management of social media was conducted for eight months and helped to result in an outstanding fundraising total and tickets to the even being sold out months before. After 8 months social media platform followers increased by the following:
- 36% increase in Facebook followers
- 124% increase in Twitter followers
- 167% increase in LinkedIn followers
Not only this, but engagement across all social media platforms increased steadily.
As part of our outsourced role we also provide the PR and media strategy and implementation, obtaining exposure in the media for Dancing CEOs and WLSQ across the state.
