Effective digital marketing to attract new students.

Since 2002, Southwest Training Services (SWTS) has offered people from all walks of life a wide range of career opportunities through the provision of quality education, both in the workplace and at their training centre. This Victorian-based training organisation has been delivering quality and affordable funded training in communities for over 17 years.

Overview

SWTS approached Outsource2Us to help promote their childcare certificate courses to new students through digital advertising. After completing the research to ensure that the courses would stand out among the competition, the decision was made to create a dedicated landing page outlining all the childcare courses on offer.

Strategy

Before the build could commence, we conducted in-depth research into some of SWTS’s main competitors and their websites. Our analysis of the top 3-4 competitors in the market revealed that they all had consistent layouts and designs across their websites. This posed a challenge as we needed to stand out in an already oversaturated market dominated by large competitors.

Based on our findings, Outsource2Us developed a lead-based landing page that provided specific information about SWTS’s courses while consolidating all relevant details onto a single page. Since a landing page has a singular focus, it typically achieves significantly higher conversion rates in digital advertising campaigns. Using this information, Outsource2Us created a landing page tailored to SWTS’s childcare programs, targeting students interested in this area.

Results

After conducting market research, we created and optimised a landing page for digital advertising campaigns. Outsource2Us included a concise call to action ‘above the fold,’ allowing potential students to register their interest immediately. Following the form, we incorporated a ‘point of difference’ box to highlight SWTS’s uniqueness compared to competitors.

It’s widely recognised that Word of Mouth is the most effective form of advertising, which is why we included testimonials on the landing page. These testimonials showcase what previous students had to say about SWTS. Additionally, we ensured easy access to course information at the bottom of the landing page, providing all the necessary details for potential students interested in certificate or diploma programs.

By analysing the content of competitors’ landing pages, Outsource2Us drew valuable insights on how to create an effective page to attract new students to SWTS.

SWTS was highly impressed with the landing page we created. This enabled comprehensive advertising campaigns on Facebook and positioned SWTS to compete on a larger scale, even on par with much larger competitors. The landing page equipped SWTS with the professionalism needed to thrive in a market already saturated with large and established registered training organisations.
