Outsource To Us Inaugural Company Conference
This September the whole team at Outsource To Us attended our inaugural Company Conference which was held at the beautiful Peppers Resort in Kingscliff, NSW.
It was an early start for the Outsource team on Saturday morning with a guided yoga session by our very own Jane Toohey who has recently qualified as a Yoga Teacher. The Resort’s Contemplation Gardens were the perfect place for us to come together and stretch our bodies before a full day of mental exercise, however it’s a good thing that we are better at marketing than we are at yoga!
The Conference’s key note session was delivered by Rob Ashley Principal Private Clients PwC who set the tone for the day by speaking on the subjects of core purpose, brand promise common goals and the value of our strategic planning.
The theme of our conference was ‘Coming together as one team’ and that was certainly achieved. Like many businesses our team has grown and developed rapidly over the last year and the time had come for us to talk about what we can do as individuals and as a team to realise our potential, grow our business and better support our clients in meeting their marketing objectives.
Our first session was led by Jane Toohey, Director and Co-founder of Outsource to Us who spoke about our company values of:
- Back ourselves!
- Value to others.
- Make a mark!
- Collaboration (as a team and with our clients)
- Be passionate.
- Be curious.
It perhaps sounds a bit cliched but our values are central to our company philosophy. The larger and busier we get the more important it becomes for everyone on the team to keep these values front and centre each day … and on our wall!
Our next session was led by Hilary Knights, also a Director and Co-founder of Outsource to Us who facilitated a discussion on our current and future products and services and the importance of internal communication, collaboration and teamwork to provide value to our clients. Subsequent sessions took the form of guided forums with topics ranging from team and company expectations, culture, internal branding, role plays with different client scenarios and the importance of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) when dealing with clients.
The Conference certainly bought us together and we left with renewed energy (physically and mentally!) and focus on our core purpose to help our clients and their businesses grow.
