With a new financial year, businesses set new goals – be them financial, cultural, or social. As our clients’ businesses grow, so do their goals, and Corporate Social Responsibility has become increasingly important to companies as a key organisational objective.
At Outsource to Us, we believe that CSR is about much more than donating money. Businesses have the power to create opportunities for those in need, be it by mentoring a new business owner, employing someone with a disability, or joining a club that uses members’ skills and connections to create positive change. On August 22nd, we are facilitating an event that will give businesses an opportunity to network with remarkable people and to learn some meaningful ways to practice CSR beyond simply writing a cheque to a charity.
CEO at Epic Assist, Bill Gamack, will attend the event to speak about Epic Assist’s services. Epic Assist employs people with disabilities to provide services, like bookkeeping and SEO, to growing businesses at affordable rates. Services like this are a win-win for everyone. Businesses have an opportunity to meet their CSR targets, while receiving a valuable service – often at a reduced price, and people with disabilities gain meaningful employment.
Leon Stephan, Managing Partner of Advivo Accountants and Advisors is one of the main event facilitators. Leon is passionate about connecting businesses with services like Epic Assist.
“We want to introduce decision-makers to these organisations that offer options beyond a monetary donation – some of them offer services like bookkeeping, some of them offer access to incredible networks of people and some even provide banking options with very attractive interest rates,” said Leon.
Phil Di Bella from Di Bella Coffee is one of the keynote speakers for Businesses Driving a Difference. Phil will share his personal experience with CSR and discuss how his business has impacted local charities over time.
At Outsource to Us, we want CSR to be more meaningful than simply putting your hand into your pocket. The Businesses Driving a Difference Event will connect businesses with services that will allow them to make a difference in a way that is far more impactful and sustainable than making a donation.
We look forward to seeing you at the event, which will be held at 6 pm at The Porsche Centre in Newstead on the 22 of August. Register for the event now!
