Major Updates Coming to LinkedIn Newsletters

Outsource2Us shares what you need to know about new LinkedIn Newsletter features

Digital newsletter options have fluctuated in popularity over the years, but one platform that has been able to keep the feature on a constant upward trajectory is LinkedIn. With over 900 million members, LinkedIn is seeing record levels of engagement with users seeing 22% more feed updates and a 10X year-on-year newsletter creation increase.

With LinkedIn recently releasing 3 new ways to share your newsletters on the platform – if you haven’t put much thought into your newsletter outreach lately, now is the time to do it.

One-Click Subscribe URLs

Businesses running their newsletters through LinkedIn can now encourage their customers to easily sign up to their LinkedIn-based newsletter with a direct URL link. With an embeddable button, you can easily attach the link to emails, social media, websites, or any other platform you decide to share. Using this in your LinkedIn bio combined with a Call to Action (CTA) will help drive subscribers to your newsletter.

Newsletter Display

There are also two major updates to how newsletters are displayed that will allow users to find them more easily.

Firstly, you will now be able to see and subscribe to newsletters that are associated with an account, but when searching a user. Secondly, newsletter creators can now add their newsletters to their ‘Featured’ placement on their LinkedIn profiles.

More changes are on the horizon!

These 3 new features are only the first of what appears to be multiple changes to newsletters on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn is looking to add custom SEO features so you can decide how your newsletter will appear on Google and other search engines.

The final update is still in the works and possibly the most useful for newsletter publishing is the ability to schedule them for distribution. Much like other social media platforms, this tool will provide the ability to ‘set and forget’ so you can delegate your time more efficiently.

Are you prepared to adapt to these new changes to one of the most popular social media platforms in today’s market?

Outsource2Us can help you navigate your social media management needs, and come up with a strategy that is right for your business.
