Welcome to the Marketing Mix. In this issue, we’re sharing some top tips on how to create content that is really going to stand out. With the final countdown to Christmas officially starting, make sure you’re ready for 2023 with a content plan that is achievable.
✏️ Write to your customer’s pain points. One of the core reasons why someone will purchase from your business is that it solves an issue for them – either personally, or for their business. Creating content that addresses the pain points of your customer will immediately allow the content to resonate better with them.
📸 Think about your images. Writing content is only half the battle. Make sure you think about what images you are going to use and whether they are going to be consistent with your existing look and feed. Doing a brand photoshoot will allow you to use photos of you and your team instead of just stock imagery.
🔢 Use your content more than once. If you are spending hours writing content, make sure you are using it multiple times to justify it. A blog can be uploaded to your website for SEO, shared on social media, and then sent to your customer base via email.
📊 Make a plan. Writing down your ideas into a single cohesive document will ensure that the content you want to create actually happens. A content plan also helps you for those ‘blah’ days, when the creative juices just aren’t flowing. You can include all sorts of things in the plan – template, resources, examples, etc. Access our free content plan template here.
⚙️ Try Search Engine Optimisation. The last, and perhaps the most important is SEO. How do you expect people to purchase a product/service from your website, if they can’t find you? SEO can help to make your business more visible online and supports a well-thought-out content strategy. With monthly optimisation and clever content writing, to the keywords you want to be found for, SEO works.
